Welcome to the Harrogate and Area Council for Voluntary Service website.
Harrogate & Area Council for Voluntary Service (Harrogate CVS) is a local infrastructure organisation (LIO). As a LIO we aim to deliver our services in a way that supports the local voluntary and community sector in all their areas of activity.
We also provide a signposting service to individuals, giving information about local services.
In 2006 we became one of the first CVS in the country to be awarded the new Performance Standards Quality Award by our national body, the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA).
Harrogate CVS serves Harrogate and Knaresborough and mainly the southern areas of the Harrogate District. We work closely with Ripon CVS that serves mainly Ripon and the northern market towns of the District and their rural hinterland.
