Support for Organisations who Recruit and Involve Volunteers
Harrogate & Area Volunteer Centre provides a variety of support and services to organisations who involve volunteers in their work. We currently have over 180 organisations registered with us, and we help promote their volunteering opportunities through our Marketing and Brokerage services.
In addition, we offer advice and training on all areas of Volunteer Management, encouraging Best Practice within the organisations that we work with, and we support the work of Volunteer Managers and Co-ordinators through a variety of networks and information dissemination. We support the development of volunteering opportunities, and welcome new organisations to register their information with us free of charge.
We also undertake policy response and campaign on a variety of issues related to volunteering, and help inform the strategic development of volunteering at both local, sub-regional, regional and national levels.
