Beg, Steal or Borrow (but no stealing please!)...
Survival bags are desperately needed by homeless young people in the Harrogate Area. Your challege is to get local businesses to contribute to the contents of these bags which could contain basic sanitary items such as toothbrush, deodorant, shower gel, shampoo, small towel, non perishable high energy food items, basic underwear / socks, gloves etc in winter or suncream in summer, small torch, progressing to "super-duper" items such as £10 supermarket giftcards, bus pass, launderette voucher etc - the contents are only limited by your ingenuity and bargaining skills. The teams could be split up into two teams or more if required, with the best bag "judged" by a homeless young person.

Groundforce Challenge...
Funding was secured a year or so ago to create a quiet garden area for clients to reflect on counselling prior to returning to work. The project now needs the final touches, including painting the back wall of the building, purchasing and securing garden furniture, planting pots and containers and perhaps purchasing a gate including the logo of the organisation.

A counselling organisation in Harrogate is looking to create another counselling room for families and younger people to use. They need a team of people and some money to help with the project, which would involve obtaining building materials, building the partition walls, then decorating and furnishing the new space.

Earn Brownie Points...
A residential centre used by Brownies and Guides on the outskirts of Harrogate needs a team of volunteers to help clear and burn an area of scrub from a field adjoining the centre, in order to make it accessible and useful to the packs who use the facility. The centre is used most weekends, so a team of volunteers would be required for 1-2 days during the week. Accommodation may be available if required.

Have you ever wanted to run a marathon, jump out of a plane or climb a mountain?
Now is your chance to do just that, whilst raising vital funds for a national charity supporting people bereaved or injured by road death. If all this sounds too exciting and action packed, how about organising a BBQ, Football Match, Sponsored Walk, Talent Show... the list of possibilities is endless!

Use your business skills to make a difference in rural Kenya...
An innovative, online charity devoted to helping vulnerable children and their communities in Kenya is looking for help in setting up a sustainable development project. They plan to recycle plastics and turn them into plastic building panels to provide cheap, durable housing for the rural and slum areas in Kenya. Help is required with research and development in addition to business planning.
